In order to establish a sustainability strategy that meets the needs of Edgbaston, we undertook one of Haven Power's dynamic Accelerator Workshops to help identify new opportunities and potential hidden value, to optimise energy usage and deliver results.
As part of the sustainability strategy, Haven Power will be supplying 100% of the electricity to Edgbaston Stadium, exclusively from renewable sources.
The majority of the electricity supplied is generated with responsibly-sourced, compressed wood pellets, a form of sustainable biomass with a purpose of enabling a zero carbon, low cost energy future and producing 86% less carbon than coal-generated energy.
